During his 30-year career at GE, Mr. Dilip Das has held management positions in marketing and business development at various GE Businesses. In his most recent capacity as Director, International Business Development, Industrial Power Generation, Mr. Das provided strategic and transaction leadership for GE's onsite generation initiative. He built and led a start up organization in Germany, Spain, Italy, India, Turkey, UK, France and Japan.
A key element of his activities was creating strategic partnerships with major developers to help them achieve project economics and secure funding. He worked closely with export credit agencies and banks resulting in the successful closure of several first of a kind private power projects. Prior to that, Mr. Das was a Sales Manager responsible for large gas and steam turbine based power plants.
Mr. Das represented GE Power Systems in the Washington based International Interest Group, a forum of US blue chips seeking international expansion. Invited by the Asiatic Society, New York, he presented a paper on power project opportunities to a group of investors and bankers. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, India and an MBA from Drexel University. Recently, he completed an Executive Program in Strategic Alliances at The Wharton School.
