Janet Vanderpool, Advisor, Energy Project
Development
Janet E. Vanderpool brings over 25 years
experience in the energy industry experience prior to being an advisor to
Sigma Capital. Over the course
of her career she has worked on over 30 large scale energy projects, ranging
from $5 million to over $750 million. These projects encompassed interstate
gas pipeline, natural gas storage projects, and electric generation
plants. She has managed the teams, schedule, government and community
relations, as well as the budget, engineering, negotiation of all legal
agreements involving land, right-of-way, off take, supply and
interconnection.
At PG&E National
Energy Group. There she was responsible for the development of new electric
generating plants in the Midwest region, including the Covert Generating
Plant, an 1100 MW gas-fired combined cycle plant. Prior to joining PG&E
National Energy Group, Vanderpool was Director of Marketing and Pipeline
Project Development for ANR Pipeline Company, an interstate natural gas
pipeline company. There she was responsible for the development of merchant
pipeline projects, storage fields, and supply acquisitions.
Vanderpool received
her bachelor's degree in engineering from Michigan State University and
later earned a masters degree in business administration from Michigan State
University's Executive MBA Program. She is PMP certified. PMP is an ISO
9001 certification, a globally recognized mark of a quality project
management system. Janet is an active member of the Project Management
Institute – Great Lakes Chapter.
